Terms and Conditions

Listed herein are the terms and conditions to which a user ("User") agrees in loading, registering with, and/or using ("using") ESLDewey.com.tw ("Site") owned and operated by Dewey International Education Consultants Ltd. ("Company").

1. Copyright and Trademark
Exclusive rights to any and all text, graphics, images, photos, programs, scripts, and other entities forming part of the Site belong solely to the Company. This includes text and/or any photograph entered and/or submitted by the User. The User agrees to respect these rights and abide by the copyright and trademark laws of Taiwan, Republic of China (ROC) when using the Site.

2. Purpose of the Site
The Site is for meeting people either interested in teaching a language or interested in seeking foreign teachers in Taiwan, ROC. The Site is not an employment service or job hunting agent, and the Site does not provide employment recommendations or job placement assistance. The Company assumes no responsibility or liability for the User’s relationship or attempt at forming a relationship, be such a relationship professional or personal, with another user. Any relationship that the User chooses to form with another person shall not be the responsibility of the Company.

A school-teacher relationship including payment and/or receipt of payment for teaching services is the responsibility of the User and any person(s) entering such relationship with the User.

The User agrees to bear any and all responsibility for their actions regarding all laws of Taiwan, ROC concerning the employment of teachers. The Company shall not bear any responsibility nor be liable for the User infringing any law of Taiwan, ROC.

3. User Registered as a Teacher
When registered as a teacher, the User agrees to provide accurate information in their teacher profile regarding their location, teaching ability, teaching qualification, availability, and all other information submitted to the Site. The User also agrees to only have their teacher profile activated when willing to enter a relationship with a new school or student, and agrees to keep their teacher profile deactivated when not willing to enter a relationship with a new school or student.

When registered as a teacher, the User agrees to provide accurate contact information in their teacher profile through which another user may contact the User. Such contact information shall include active e-mail address and an active telephone number. If the e-mail address and/or telephone number become inactive, canceled, or the User is otherwise unreachable, the User shall update the information as soon as possible and make accurate their contact information in their teacher profile or deactivate their teacher profile until accurate contact information can again be provided.

When registered as a teacher and submitting a photograph to the Site, the User declares that such photograph includes an accurate visual representation of the User.

4. User Registered as a School or Student
When submitting payment information to the Site, the User agrees to only submit payment information to which they are entitled to use under the applicable laws of Taiwan, ROC.

The User agrees to pay for services provided on the Site, as described therein, when submitting payment information to the Site. The only permissible service(s) shall be as explicitly described on the Site. Paid services are not transferable to other users. Paid services are not refundable except as provided for herein. 

The Company does not guarantee that after purchasing contact information of a teacher provided by the Site that the User will be able to contact the teacher. If the User brings erroneous purchased contact information to the attention of the Company, the Company shall at its discretion and in a timely manner either supply correct replacement contact information of the teacher to the User or reinstate the services expended by the User.

The Company does not guarantee that after contacting a teacher whose contact information was provided to the User on or through the Site that the User will be able to enter into a relationship with the teacher. 

5. User’s Information is on the Internet
The User acknowledges that by submitting information to the Site, the User is making such information available on the Internet. The User agrees to release the Company from responsibility or liability for the disclosure of such information and for any contact of the User by a third party, whether intended or unintended by the User.

6. Proper Use
The User agrees to use the Site as intended by the Company as described herein and in the text of the Site itself, and agrees to not use the Site in a way that detracts from or inhibits any use of the Site by another user or the Company.

The User also agrees to treat any person whose contact information has been disclosed to the User on or through the Site in a respectful and professional manner and in accordance with the laws of Taiwan, ROC.

7. Use at Your Own Risk
The User agrees to load, register with, use, and/or attempt to use the Site at their own risk. The Company shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, be it financial, personal, or similar, resulting from the User loading, registering with, using, attempting to use, and/or failing to use the Site.

8. Hyperlinks
The Company is not responsible for the content of any third party sites that have a hyperlink to the Site. Following any hyperlinks from the Site to other third party sites is done at the User’s own risk.

9. Termination of Registration
If the User violates any of the above terms and conditions, the Company may opt to terminate the registration of the User without prior notice. The Company also reserves the right to deny future registration to the User should they attempt to register with the Site at a later time.
