Three teachers came to Taiwan for the first time, Some of them don't even hear of Taiwan before.
They got teaching jobs here through Dewey International Consultants, and with Dewey's help, they came here and started their teaching job in July.
It is just the same as other foreigners, they have experienced diversity between countries.
The language, the weather, the traffic, the food, the customs, etc. are quite different as what they were used to.
Some of them sometimes don't even know what they eat for meal and what they can do on weekend. However, they get helps and information from school directors, friends, and students' parents. In their mind, Taiwanese are kind and helpful. They are getting used to the living in Taiwan.
By now, some of them can count one to five, say how are you, wait a second, left, right, etc. in Chinese and they are still working on it. On weekend, they go mountain climbing or visit places nearby the city.
It seems that they adjust well to the living in Taiwan and enjoy the life here day after day. When I ask some of them if they would recommend Taiwan to their friends who would like to teach abroad, their answer is "Definitely!! I will".

During lunch break, Bryan paid a visit to the couple teachers in Hsin Chu. They are getting used to the living in Taiwan and working on learning chinese.... They looked very enjoying the teaching job here. The directors and friends they've made here are really helpful for them. We had a short chat, and they shared their experience in teaching and living in Taiwan with us. We really appreciated their time and hope to see them again.
Planning the lesson is the daily routine for them. After lunch, they didn't take rest but still work. Teaching with passions is always what they love to do...
A very big and kind teacher with small smile sitting on very small chair preparing for the class in his small classroom seemed to look forward to the coming class...
We will look forward to your interesting and touching photos especially recording your life in Taiwan or in your sweet homeland!Mail us
