Hoosain
Hi, my name's Hoosain. I have been living in Taiwan for several years. Most of the jobs I've found, I've found on my own. But recently, I found a job through Mickey and his company.
Mickey Hou has been a great help since our time of correspondence. I've only met with him once, but thereafter we've still been in contract via telephone or MSN.
He's great, not only as an agent, but also a consulting friend. I recommend him, because he will truly be looking out for your best.
Keep up the good work MICKEY.

To Whom It May Concern:
Several months ago I had the pleasure of working closely with Andrew Liu. His level of professionalism far surpassed the other recruiters I was working with at the time. My situation was delicate and Andrew was able to allay my anxieties in a way that made me feel completely at ease.
Andrew was diligent in following up at all times. Whereas other professionals preferred corresponding via email, Andrew was exceptionally competent and happy to pick up the phone to contact me. His personal service, demeanor, and way of handling the situation were excellent.
It did not end there, even though he placed me he continues to follow up to make sure I am acclimating myself and to see if there is anything else he can do. I have contacted him and asked him for several favors and as always his level of efficiency continues to astound me.
I highly recommend Andrew Liu both personally and professionally. He doesn¡¦t just get the job done, he gets it done right.

I strongly recommend Adrian Wu as your recruiter for an ESL teaching position in Taiwan. I have had the privilege to work with Adrian Wu in finding reliable work in Taichung City.
I am a young Canadian who took a big risk two months ago; leaving behind a good circle of friends as well as an excellent, professional, permanent job back home to undertake an ESL teaching position in Taiwan. I was at a turning point in my personal and professional life and had taken the decision to move on. Therefore, I was seeking quick, honest and professional advice. I expected accurate information which would truly reflect the nature of the experience I was about to live.
I responded to an ESL job posting for a cram school position in Taichung City. Instantaneously, I received a reply from Adrian Wu and from that moment on, I was fully accommodated in receiving any information relating to various teaching positions, living in Taiwan and legal issues related to working and living in Taiwan. He found me a suitable job, helped in negotiating my contact and provided me with any other help requested. Most would have been very sceptical and fearful of accepting employment in such circumstances; especially from an unknown recruiter. In all honesty, dealing with Adrian almost seemed too good and easy to be true and people in my surroundings were beginning to worry about the legitimacy of my recruiter. Nonetheless, I decided to pursue with Adrian. Within two weeks, a deal was closed and Adrian provided me with the most accurate and up to date information on visa processing, documentation authentication, work permit processing, etc.
When I arrived at Taiwan¡¦s International Airport, a chauffeur was waiting for me as planned and I was dropped of at my hotel room shortly after. Adrian arrived at my hotel room that afternoon and spent the following weeks provide me with all the resources and care needed to settle adequately in Taichung City.
Since, I have been having an amazing time and I¡¦m working at a very wonderful Branch with great workmates. Most have become good friends and people I have relied on and could still rely on today. Adrian¡¦s description of my work environment was accurate and my employers provide me with stable and legal work. I currently feel very secure in this position and so far all clauses in my contract have been fully respected.
I can assure you that Adrian Wu has the ability to support you and provide you with the best service possible before, during and after your arrival in Taiwan. You can have complete trust in him. And expect no surprises. He is very knowledgeable in this field and can, without a doubt, provide you with a quality of service that is above average.
Sincerely,
Patrick M. Ouellet |

Karl
To any teachers that are planning on working in Taiwan in the future.
Hi,
My name is Karl. My girlfriend Suzie who is Welsh, and I who am Australian, were in a dilemma of what to do 6 months ago. She had just completed her teaching degree in Australia. We were in the unenviable position of needing to find and secure a teaching job for both of us overseas within three weeks before her Australian visa expired.
Luckily for us as we trawled the Internet we met Mickey at Dewey. Within hours he had responded to our e-mail, and within days he had organised both of us a teaching position within Taiwan. It was almost surrealistic, but 2 weeks later we were in Taiwan, at the airport, and greeted by Mickey.
If you have never travelled within an Asian country it is almost impossible to imagine how extremely complicated even the simplest transaction can be. Therefore, I cannot stress how easy Mickey made our transition from living in Australia to teaching in Taiwan. Not only were we picked up from the Airport, but he took us to a hotel, then personally organised our school interview and drove us to the school, translated the interview, and helped us with contractual details. He even helped us find and move into a very pleasant apartment.
Mickey was also incredibly useful at helping us navigate through the bureaucratic minefield that is known as working permits. I cannot imagine how an English speaking person could not only apply for a working permit but understand all of the subtle reasons why the government that desperately needs English teachers puts barriers in their path for obtaining a permit. Once again Mickey was extremely versatile in his ability to manoeuvre our paperwork to get work permits and ARC's.
Just as an aside. Neither Suzie or I had any knowledge about Taiwan before we moved here. It was a small island on the globe. Taiwan is beautiful. It's people are friendly., and you feel safe. If you love nature, I think it has natural beauty that far surpasses anything I have ever seen in Australia. Suzie and I have travelled right across Taiwan. It is easy to travel and get away from people and be surrounded by astounding gorges, islands and beaches. it really is Formosa.
I highly recommend teaching in Taiwan, exploring it's hinterland, and contacting Mickey for support.
Best wishes,
Karl |

Teaching English in Taiwan!
In this writing I want to show my appreciation for a great and very professional agent from Dewey agency!
I have been working in Taiwan for 2 years now as a native English instructor, and never have I had the pleasure of working with an agent as dedicated and loyal as Mickey. I have been with another agency in the previous years and haven¡¦t had the pleasure of an active agent taking care of his clients.
Since I¡¦ve changed my school and agent, I haven¡¦t had any difficulties with my process of getting comfortable in my new environment. Mickey has been helpful right from the start and went out of his way and personal life to help me with moving and personal issues! Mickey is a great agent and the team from Dewey is people you can really rely on when you have to consider living and working inTaiwan!
My best wishes and regards to Mickey and the staff of Dewey!!
Yours sincerely,
Johann du Plessis |

Whenever one moves to a strange country, not knowing the language, culture etc it is always a daunting task. this is even more so when you do not speak the language and need to find work.
I had all these fears, but I was quickly put at ease by Andrew in Taiwan. Not only as he able to offer a professional service viz. lining up a host of reputable job offers with accompanying contracts to look at, but he did this in a friendly and honest manner. When I eventually landed in my new country, as promised I received numerous interviews and had options from which to choose from. The service did not stop there, as he even accompanied me to interviews and provided a holistic approach i.e. help with currency issues, accommodation etc.
I would fully recommend using his service, as the most important quality in a recruiter is honesty and professionalism and this he has in abundance.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
This is to certify that over the past year i have got to know Mr Mickey Hou fairly well. This has been because frequently i have had to write to him.
It cannot be overemphasised that a foreign teacher experiences various problems from time to time working and living in Taiwan. In order to negotiate these upcoming difficulties we sorely need the advice, intercession and help of someone who knows and understands local conditions. There are no better persons to whom to turn for help than the agents of De-wey.
Many a time, I sought the much-needed help of Mickey. I was never disappointed. He did all he could to help, both pleasantly and efficiently. In my case too, he never rested his efforts till the problem was solved. For dependability and success, we could always rely on him.
We foreign teachers are fortunate in that we have the ready services of Mickey and his team. We are ever grateful for all that they have done for our benefit here in Taiwan. We can trust that De-wey will continue providing top-notch services for future foreign teachers as well.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter to commend Mickey for his services to the foreign teachers in Taiwan. If it was not for Mickey¡¦s help and generosity with his time and willingness to step in and help when problems arose, I probably would have left Taiwan a long time ago. Mickey help me arrange my air travel to Taiwan and also found an apartment for me before I even arrived and made sure it was in a location very close to my school. Whenever there has been a contract disagreement, he helped negotiate the problem with the school, or problems with Chinese teachers who have resentments towards foreign teachers. Mickey has even offered to help me with financial arrangements with the school that I can not take care of because I will be moving to a remote location in Alaska August 1, 2008. He always returns phone calls and emails immediately Mickey is an asset to Dewey and should be commended for all of the services and help he has given to me as well as other foreign teachers.
Sincerely,
Laurel C. Carlson |

To whom it may concern:
Mickey Hou, worked as my agent for one year. I recommend him, without any hesitation, for future educators in Taiwan. He is more than qualifying, due to many reasons; He has a good reputation with the schools, he goes out of his way to make people happy, and he communicates clearly having lived in California for eight years.
While working in Taiwan, I often relied on Mickey to help with situations through the school. Taking care of signing the contract, translating it into English, and negotiating the terms of the contract was of great importance upon arriving in a foreign country. Not only did he assist in all educational matters, but he also went out of his way to assist in personal matters as well. Communicating to the landlord, helping to get a scooter out of the pound, and organizing trips are just some of the ways he lends a hand to the foreign teachers. His caring nature, resourcefulness and ability to see from a foriegners standpoint really made his work with me meaningful.
When I first came to Taiwan Mickey was able to process our ARCs, health insurance, and VISAs in a timely manner. I worked in Hsinchu, but he came from Taichung to handle all the processing. He even picked up and delivered the forms to us after the processing was handled.
During my time in Taiwan, Mickey was an effective communicator, often serving as my liason to faculty members. He also coordinated trips to see parts of Taiwan involving numerous foreigners and Taiwan teachers. His ability to work collaboratively, while guiding so many new teachers, quickly and effectively was outstanding. For example, when we first signed our contract there were many foreign teachers starting to teach in Taiwan and the agents were needed all over. Mickey was pre-occupied with other newcomers, but came late at night to tie all loose ends and get us settled in to our new school and home. He even met us on our first day to introduce us to everyone and show us around. He works very long hours and is more than dedicated to his teachers.
Mickey¡¦s sensitivity, diligence, energy and sense of humor made working with him a joy. I highly recommend him as an agent for any incomming foreign teachers.
Sincerely,
Erica A. Dumm
